OSTEOPATHY

WHAT IS

· Osteopathy is an evidence-based science, which works from an anatomical and physiological basis with purely manual techniques.
· In an osteopathy session we begin by observing the patient’s posture, as well as the skin, areas of muscle tension, areas of compression, distraction and torsion, to end up doing a general mobility test first and then a more focal one that will define us. the osteopathic diagnosis and will guide us towards the treatment.
· The treatment is always gentle and painless, and specific for each patient. Therefore, regardless of age and physical condition, from babies to the elderly, everyone can benefit.
· Sometimes the treatment must be accompanied by advice on diet and lifestyle since these are necessary to reach the patient’s maximum healing potential.

NON-INVASIVE STIMULATION OF THE VAgus NERVE THROUGH TENS ELECTROSTIMULATION.

WHAT IS

· The most advanced medicine has shown that there is a bidirectional connection between the autonomic nervous system and the immune system.
· The Vagus nerve is the main component of the parasympathetic branch, and today it is known that it performs a multitude of regulatory functions in the human body.
· Non-invasive electrostimulation of the vagus nerve with a TENS device is a simple, painless technique that consists of placing electrodes in an ear, which is the area of the body where there are nerve endings of the vagus nerve.
· Among the therapeutic effects achieved with this technique include the reduction of sympathetic tone (stress reduction), an anti-inflammatory effect, a modulation of the immune system and a neuroprotective effect.

WHO I AM

GABRIEL SUÑER LLITERAS

I have a diploma in Physiotherapy from the Gimbernat University Schools (Autonomous University of Barcelona) in 1995.
My desire to learn made me start studying osteopathy in 2004 at the School of Osteopathy of Barcelona (with an agreement at the European School of Osteopathy England), obtaining the Diploma in Osteopathy (DO), once the final thesis of studies has been presented and approved in 2014.
During my stays in England studying osteopathy, I was lucky enough to meet John Wernham, one of the most experienced osteopaths in the world and a leading reference in classical osteopathy.
This fact made me decide to take the postgraduate course in Classical Osteopathy, which for the first time was held in Spain (2011) with professors from the Institute of Classical Osteopathy of England (ICO).
From here on, my professional work has been surrounded by improving and deepening my knowledge of osteopathy, taking a multitude of courses with the best osteopaths in Spain (EOB, EORA, ECO), England (Institute of Classical Osteopathy) and Ireland (The Littlejohn Centre).
I am a member of the Official College of Physiotherapists of the Balearic Islands (number 194), as well as the Registry of Osteopaths of Spain with number 416. This registry determines what the academic and professional requirements that regulate osteopathy in Spain should be.
